Six Sigma Green Belt Transactional Service Certificate

Program Description

For many manufacturers, Six Sigma project applications are well understood because of the extensive use of six sigma tools (SPC, DOE, pareto charts, etc.). Without engineering specifications or ready access to variable data to improve, many non-manufacturers often have difficulty visualizing the application of Six Sigma.

Additionally, non-manufacturing Six Sigma projects are setup differently and require alternative problem solving approaches. Staff in transactional functions within a large company often struggle with applying quantitative analysis techniques, although they recognize an opportunity exists to make significant operational improvements.

Unlike a typical six sigma green belt course, which focuses on manufacturing costs and quality, this course focuses on more common transactional measures, such as reducing internal processing of transaction time, improving customer satisfaction scores and reducing service costs.

Green Belt courses lay the foundation for performance in a Six Sigma environment. Much of this training is focused on how to apply Six Sigma tools and methodologies. Green Belts meet a variety of needs within an organization-wide Six Sigma strategy, often providing implementation support for sub-tasks within a high-impact project. Participants learn to apply Six Sigma tools and methodologies rather than acquiring a deep understanding of the statistical concepts behind them.
